MommaCat
This beautiful feline is the cat that raised me. I got her when I was 3 years old, and she lived to be 20. My mom says I picked her out of a litter at the grocery store entrance because she matched my favorite coat.
One of the reasons I got serious with my now husband is because while she wouldn't let my mom or sister pick her up while she was outside, she actually came to him and allowed him to carry her inside.
She followed us out of our hometown to Florida, where she saw that I was ok, and she crossed the rainbow bridge.

Kate
Kate found us. My husband had gotten home from work, was walking inside, and heard a meow; he meowed back, and she ran over and jumped inside his heart, hehe.
She was our first pet together, and was hilarious. She chased bugs with acrobatics, and played fetch with her toys.
2003-2005
Hunter
We adopted Hunter as an itty bitty, and his mom and littermates had been strays in a really bad area.
Unfortunately, he did not care for my husband or my then toddler son, so we had to find him a new home after we left NM for Alaska. (we figured he'd have a better chance away from NM.)
2012 - 2015
Smoke
This guy is my younger son's BFF. They can be found cuddling 99% of the time my son is sitting down, hehe.
He is very tolerant of what the kiddos do, as long as they don't hurt him. He is not a fan of our newest residents.
Sept 2016 - current
Pepper
She loves to cuddle and all the pets; but she's spicy when she's done and wants to play. Fluffier than this picture shows.
April 2023 - to current
Chai
More reserved than his cousin/littermate, he prefers to play, but tolerates the kiddos loving on him. He prefers to be pet while running circles around you rather than being cuddled.

dogs
Jet
I came home from work to find 3 crazy little puppies running around in my apartment, was not happy about it... However, while he was brought home by my husband, he ended up being my dog, and my buddy. He lived in more places and travelled more than many adults I know. At the end, his kidneys failed him, and he could no longer really hear or see us. I miss you puppdog ♥
February 2005 - May 2021
Liberty
She was the first pet that I chose for myself. She had been taken to the shelter twice, and screamed like a baby at almost everything. She's the reason we learned about crate training, and if we left her alone out of her crate; she cleared the counters and destroyed things.
But she was my first baby.
We left her with a coworker of my husband's to go visit the in-laws; and she got out and we never saw her again.
July 2007 to July 2011
Noir
Noir is a pure bred Australian Kelpie (a herding breed) that we adopted from a military friend in NM. She is the same age as my oldest son, and has been his buddy the whole time. She is reactive to aggressive actions, but otherwise the bestest girl. She let my toddlers lead her around by her ears without a single issue. (I did not encourage this, and I taught them not to do it after the first incident).
April 2012 - Present
Pango
We got this cutie from someo of our local friends, and he's been a big adjustment for us. The first time hubs and I have ever had a small breed dog. Supposedly he's a Poodle/Bichon Friese, but I think he's Poodle/Maltese.

fish
I've only kept freshwater fish. Salt water is scary and spendy.
*Free* 10 gallon
My first fish tank, started with some guppies and tetra.
Mid-2007
10 gallon
Tried an aquatic frog, but he didn't last very long, made the mistake of adding some mystery snails, lol.
late 2008
55 Gallon
Used off of an online classified site. Upgraded the tetra and guppies, added tiger barbs, baloon mollies, and corydora.
Early 2009 - 2011
1.7 Gallon
This was our first Betta. We named him Solar Flare.
Mid 2012
58 Gallon Bowfront
When hubs re-enlisted, he got a really big monetary bonus; this was part of my portion. Inside the log you can see one of my 4 violet gobies that kept my neon tetra company.
late 2012 - mid 2015
5 Gallon Bowfront
Tried 3 kissing gourami for my eldest, they were really cool; but it was an epic fail and they didn't last long ):
mid 2016
5 Gallon Cube
We got matching cube tanks, and a betta for hubs (spiderman)
Mid 2016
5 Gallon Cube
And ghost for me. They both lived for at least 2 years.
Mid 2016
20 Gallon
My eldest child wanted fish again. He had snales and Tiger Barbs. Unfortunately, my younger son attempted to feed them and dumped a whole large canister of fish flakes in there, and they all died.
early 2018
2.5 Gallon Bowfront
My eldest daughter's first fish. She had 5 endlers guppies, and 1 ram snail. She was secretly feeding them more often than she should have and the tank wouldn't stay clean.
early 2018
Re-up Cube2
Old betta died of old age, so got new guy; this was Sun Storm
late 2020
Re-Up Cube2
This was Star Scream, that we got at the same time as Sun Storm.
late 2020
Cube2
This was Slip Stream (star scream female clone) Slip Stream must have been *old stock* as she died just a year after we got her )=
mid 2021
Cube22
This is Megatron, the KING betta; he is so much bigger than any other betta I've seen!
mid 2022
58 Gallon Bowfront re-up
This poor tank had been sitting empty in our house for 5 years, and we finally got it up and going again.
Currently stocked with 2 golden dojo loaches, 1 otoclinus, 6 tiger barbs, 6 harlequin raspbora, 2 leopard danio, and 3? ghost shrimp
Late 2020
moose
Living in Alaska, I get to see these HUGE beasts more often than I'd like. Never approach them, especially a mama with a calf...
Momma & Baby
This is when we lived in base housing, and my hubs was deployed. I was walking out my front door to go to work, and was greeted with this surprise. It delayed my arrive to work by 45 minutes.
May 2009
Teenager
This guy is just starting his antlers, probably a 2nd winter. He is standing in the center of our middle garden, about 20ft from the base of the stairs leading to my front door.
Feb 2019
nom-Mama-nom
These two were munching on some tree branches on the other side of where I park my van.
August 2021
Peek-a-Moose
This Lady scared the bejeebers out of my younger son when we was retrieving something he'd forgotten out of my van. Poor guy ran back inside as fast as his little legs could carry him. She wasn't aggressive, just there.
